York001
Hi, Stopping in Bangkok for one night in March en-route to HCM. Looking for a reasonable hotel up to US$40 (or less) per night that's not infested with cockroaches or fleas but is near the entertainment centres, Soi Cowboy, Nana Plazs etc. Anybody been recently that has any recommendations.
HeartThais
Majestic Suites, soi 4 is my favorite place for a budget hotel. I think it is around 1350 baht.
jonjon058
Darwin Hotel, Soi 4 Sukhimvit is nice. I stayed there last week. The hotel is new and rooms are clean. It is 1780 Baht/night which is $10 more than you wanted to spend but location is good. Only 4 min. walk to (or stagger from) Nana Plaza.
gene1944
I think it is Dawin not Darwin Hotel.
colorwolf
...it would be especially disappointing not to have cockroaches, iguanas, fleas, penguins and other assorted wildlife in a "darwin hotel"...
simie
For one night in Bangkok Penny Black in Cowboy would be ideal. The BTS and MRT and obviously Cowboy right on your doorstep. Soi 33 a short walk and the Nana area one stop away on the BTS if thats your cup of tea? 1300 baht a night when I was there a few months ago. Simie. Barry
How long has Dawin been there? I'm amazed I never noticed it. The new Ibis is nearby too.
