Just got through reading that article. First officers on regionals make shit. I would believe the 16k figure before the 23k. When I first started back in 1986 with a regional, I was making 850 bucks a month as a ticket agent. I was making more than a first officer at the time. No wonder the airlines made money then cuz the tickets were more expensive then than they are now and the wages paid out to everyone was peanuts.
