gobbledonk
Praise the Lord - we have finally cracked the '3K baht per hundred dollars' rate that I last enjoyed in July, 2008. Now over 90 cents US : I dont want it to get too hard for our exporters, but something arounf 95 cents US by mid-December would have me dancing in the aisles on the plane. 14 nights, and only one of em in BKK - New Years Eve. gobbledonk
Current estimate is for our dollar to reach $1.10 US - not great for our exporters. Currently onshore rate is over 92c - completely unthinkable 6 months ago and hard to imagine even 3 months ago.

gobbledonk
Jack, I suspect that you may be winding me up, but isnt it one of the staple pieces of advice (on this forum and others) that you never consider buying either a bar or a condo ? I admit that Thailand doesnt make it easy for foreigners to buy a house, but there seems to be a steady stream of folk with condo horror stories - happy to hear otherwise.
