Flashermac
I will be pissed off if Alonso takes the title by 7 points, since that is exactly what Ferrari ordered Massa to give him! What is the sense of having rules, if big teams can ignore them and keep the points. Remember how Nelson Piquet Jr was run out of F1 for throwing a race as ordered to let Alonso win? Yet Alonso was allowed to keep the points and the win. WTF? Are there different rules for different folks?
radioman
Is there corruption in Thailand? I think F1 is as fixed as the Thai lottery
Flashermac
Only the big teams can do that - think Ferrari and Renault. They can get away with anything. The others? I doubt it. p.s. Odd you should mention the lottery. Years ago I saw a Thai Navy warrant officer going to all the vendors and buying every ticket that ended in 64. And guess what ... 64 was the final digit winner. It would be very difficult to rig the top prize numbers, but it shouldn't be that hard to fix the last two or three. The profit on each ticket would add up when you had hundreds or thousands of tickets.
Redbaron
Not a great Qual result for our Webber in 5th, ALL his title rivals ahead of him.. and given he usually drops a place or 3 on the start his best hope is the Ferrari not making it to the end. Flashermac
Woohoo! Vettel did it - youngest ever F1 champion. Too bad about Webber, but hats off to the Rooshun for taking out Alonso. Looks like Munchie brought the German good luck. 1) Vettel - 256 pts 2) Alonso - 252 3) Webber - 242 4) Hamilton - 240 5) Button -
Redbaron
Haven't seen the race yet (waiting for the replay after work) but in all honesty Vettel's been a better driver than Webber all year. Outqualified him all yearbut had a lot of bad luck early on (not winning from poles). Good on him.
Flashermac
Vettel has been inconsistent. Looks like he's finally getting it together. Next season should be interesting - a new Schumacher?
Nervous God
I don't buy Vitel is a better driver, he has had the team giving him a lot of extra benefits though, that makes up for a lot in the game. Schumaker was the orginal cheat in F1, oops - Ferrari!
Flashermac
Ferrari has its own rules, it's like the Mafia. Doens't matter who's driving for them.
