Flashermac
They could get into a private Thai university or maybe a rachaphat university, but they're not very high prestige (except perhaps Assumption U.).
doxx
They can't get into a Thai uni, but they CAN get into an American/foreign Uni? Several universities in the US and also in the UK have special programs for Asian students: Entrance requirements are lower and all students are Asian and so we can also assume that its basically going to Thai school abroad, meaning a shitload of plagiarism going on and level of teaching being pretty low. The universities make more money and Thai students come home with foreign degrees and diplomas. A win-win situation because the value of that prestigious US college degree only gets reduced in a foreign market, if at all (no US employer never gets to hire this Thai student that graduated UIC but doesn't know shit). A secret well kept between the Asian student and the foreign schools.
