I was in a bar tonight, paid 500 for a 70 baht bill, left 10 baht on the plate, and when I counted there was only 320 baht left. The waitress had already left, but was in sight. I chased her and caught her at the cashier. The cashier hemmed and hawed for a bit and then I got my extra hundred baht.

 

I left the bar realizing there was a good chance this was a common occurrence, got a bit angry, went back in another part of the bar and ordered another drink because I know (by sight) who the owner is (having had him pointed out previously by a dancer). When I saw him pass by I accosted him and explained what had happened. Before I had finished, he said "come with me we'll get your money back" but I told him I'd already retrieved it. He proceeded to pick up my check. I told him it was not necessary (some hot chicks there) but he didn't listen.

 

There are some good owners out there.

 

I'm reluctant to say which bar to save the poor owner a bunch of copy cat killers, but I'd be happy to tell old hands by pt which bar.
