Anyone stayed there?

Found an interesting and probably pretty accurate review on it.

 

Hotel is fairly nice. It is a really good value. I stayed there for $44 a night. Rooms are decent size. It was about a 10 minute walk to the subway station which was nice and centrally located to things. I'm a young white female that was traveling in Bangkok for business. The Dawin happens to be located on a street that is full of "bikini bars." So everyone one else on the street was either a Thai female prostitute, a lady boy, or an old white dude. This is perfectly fine to some. And many men might find this hotel perfect for them because its nice, clean, and located in the center of what brought them to Bangkok. Street is perfectly safe. I myself would probably stay somewhere else quieter next time. But it was still a great value.
