MooNoi
Let's say, hypothetically that someone had some movies and TV shows that someone bought on iTunes, but then wanted to convert them for use on a device, such as a tablet running Android. Would there be a FREE converter for download that someone could use...just in case... they wanted to do this? :surpised: Also, if this wasn't possible due to Apple's silly DRM stuff on the stuff this person HAS PAID FOR LEGALLY , is there a website where someone could hypothetically download TV shows and movies for little or no cost? Thanks if you can hypothetically help!
LizardKing
Are you really that far behind the times as far as getting content? Two famous ones: http://thepiratebay.com http://www.eztv.it There are many more. You'll need something like uTorrent to download from them. As far as the conversion stuff, I avoid Apple products like the plague (for just the reason you mentioned) so I have no idea, but something must be out there. I am sure I have read about it, but don't know where.
soongmak
Forget about converting, torrents and websites. Start using Usenet. It's quicker (the only download limitation is the speed of your internet connection) and cleaner (no uploading necessary). First sign up with a decent newsserver. I use Supernews, and they have a flat rate, clean cut deal that allows you unlimited downloads every month (I have downloaded about 3 TB (not GB!)in the last year, hassle free). This is their best deal: http://www.newsgroupreviews.com/server.php?m=Supernews Second, download sabnzb+ for free: http://sabnzbd.org/download/ . They have a version for you, no matter if you run Windows, Mac or Linux. Third, copy your Supernews account information in Sabnzb+ . Fourth, get your ass over to http://www.nzbindex.nl/ and start hunting movies and tv shows to your heart's content. On usenet you can find almost every tv-show in divx, xvid, dvd- ,mp4, wmv or mkv format. The most popular shows are available in EVERY format. None of that funky vendor lock in shit that iTunes tries to stuff down your throat. To start downloading, download the nzb's you found on Nzbindex, and open them with Sabnzb+. That's all! Happy downloading!
Redbaron
same drama with nokia tunes... downloaded a few cd's (legitimately) with free credits gained from buying a new phone only to realise I can't burn them to cd (so I can't listen on the "normal" cd player at home) and if I whack em on a usb stick to listen to in the car the car doesn't recognise them even though they appear to be in the same format as every other tune in my library.. the only way I can listen to the songs is through my laptop or wirelessly in the car
