USVirgin
A colleague got pissed off at his bank here and switched about 9 million baht to another. That got their attention. That's the problem with bankers. They have no investment sense at all and only care about their work when they lose your business.

RayRay
Cash a check for the 25k, then go to the bank with the bills and open a new account? Technically it's not transferring directly from your existing account. Be sure to use the standard drug cartel member chrome briefcase. Maybe even handcuff yourself to it. I've always thought that would be a pretty cool thing to do one day.

I've always thought that would be a pretty cool thing to do one day. Hey now, make sure you tell the whole story. OK, at least in the early 80s in Miami when I was there -- the aluminum briefcase of choice had to be a Halliburton (not to be confused with the war profiteers of the same name but different spelling). Accept no substitute. Nothing else would do. Uh, err, not that I would know anything about that actually. Someone told me that.
