gobbledonk
BKKTraveler, I dont know where that quote in your sig came from, but that is the date of my 25th birthday. If only I'd known about Thailand in 1984 ... Getting back to the topic, even after things have died right down on Soi 4 there is usually a steady stream of traffic on the other side. OK, so you have to run the gauntlet of katoeys hanging around the darker corners, but I dont think I've seen it completely dead in that impromptu 'restaurant strip' that springs up as soon as the bars close. You have to hand it to the Thais - how many of us would be willing to set up tables and chairs on a darkened street and start selling alcohol to people who are often already pissed ? Its scary when they have the coal braziers on the tables and some overweight fool is staggering around your table.
