Guest
I will arrive in BKK on Nov 27 for 2 weeks. My wife has family in Chantaburi and we will visit there. She has not been there sence she was a kid and I can find nothing on the net exctpt that it has a gem stones and fruit growing history. Any info will help. Thanks. iuytrede
Thailands biggest cathedral (serving the Catholic Vietnamese diaspora). Walk across the river on the small bridge (not the highway bridge). (If you are in the center of town facing the river it is on your right hand side) Center of town all lively markets, everything within walking distance. At night foodstalls and nightmarket around the department store. Small lane with old wooden houses along the river, starting at the highway bridge. Nice lake in a park. Good and cheap internet cafes (walk from the department store towards the highway crossing the river, they are where the street goes uphill) - opposite a hairdresser whose 50B-haircuts have been internationally admired ("makes you look 5 years younger"). No McDonalds.
