Guest
It's a Thai Holiday but would surmise the bars are open.
Guest
'Sort of like in "The Wizard of Oz" - "....but - are you a good witch, or a bad witch????" Is this a "good" holiday (less traffic, bars remainl open), or a "bad" holiday (masses of aimless bgs and punters wandering around with the "somebody squashed my puppy" look on their face)? Answer : It's a good holiday !!!!! Hooray !!!!! "Let the good times roll !!!!" B-Fly BKK

Guest
Why? Better they work at least one day, than none at all.... See ya! I'm running for cover on this one........
Guest
It's not a Buddhist holiday, so the bars will be unaffected. Some businesses, and ALL banks, will be closed, but government offices will be open, as it's not an official holiday. Don't know if post offices will be affected. Flashermac
Hehehehe ... I want to go see those campers at the airport. Maybe we can shove bananas through the bars at them. :-) The reason civil servants don't get the day of is because they (we) are supposed to be professionals, not labourers. It's always bugged me that I have to work on the day, which incidentally is my wife's birthday.
