What is strange is that people in prison were allowed to run in an election. Why didn't he vote by absentee ballot? He has several fairly serious charges against him. As an MP he was released from prison. WIll he now be put back in the slammer?

<< Mr Jatuporn faced a complaint that he was not a Pheu Thai Party member when he applied to run in the July 3 poll because he was in jail at the time.

Mr Jatuporn was detained in Bangkok Remand Prison on terrorism charges related to last year's red shirt protests. He also faces a lese majeste charge over comments made during a speech at a United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) rally on April 10 this year.>>
