sayjann
I expect that it's the same as anywhere - money buys you security at the front door, but it hasnt stopped the more determined crooks here so I have no reason to believe that it will be any different in Cambo. At least the Cambodians have a survival situation behind their larceny - our local scum are just born bad. stayed in a couple of places where i had a digital safe and could change the number as many times a day as i wanted, never any problems. where i stay these days the safes are behind the reception desk . takes 4 keys to open it,i have 2 and the hotel have 2. if anyone tried to use my keys then the staff would know as i am 'very valued customer'.... but not to say all the keys are duplicated and the staff could access my safe..... cavanami
...as the Chinese say...every lock has a key...thus there is no real security.
Ryder
Well, this is the safe I fitted that is 'supposedly' weak and easy to crack. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6eSn9Qn4poQ This very type was assaulted and bashed about by a burglar team in provincial Thailand (down south) and they could not get into it. Just bit banged and dented.
