Kiwi
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVOzmJrOpCI Cheers mate, The number of times I have sat at these tables and enjoyed a night meal - well one could not count on one's hands. Ol Rawai is the place to sit and think. Kiwi.

huumlaar
Baa - I preferred those toilets when they had the business card notice board above, was fun to read while pissing on the cut up limes, and looking over your left shoulder at your late dinner being made. Lew_Ashby
Feh, Rawai is nice. We go down there for a day trip while on K. Phuket usually (usually only time for K. Phuket 3 days max). Some nice beach-side restos there. Cheep as chips. Of course, we stay up at The Pearl or the Dewa at Nai Yang National Park (unless with a friend near Phuket City), because it is quiet and nice and no rip-offs nor whore-bars to be found...just the thing for a nice *quiet* holiday (plus we get "mate's rates" at either place). YMMV, as I know that's not what everyone wants. But here's a tip that applies to anyone: *always* rent a car...a Jazz is B1200/day from David Car Rent. You'll pay that for a bleeding tuk-tuk from Karon to Patong! Just do it. Phuket driving is easy. Anyway, here's our Rawai: quiet, cheap and yummy seafood. The always lovely Mrs Ashby waiting to be fed... And a beach scene... So that's it. A "local's" perspectiv of Phuket. Still a gem, *IF* you know where to go.
