To survive in life I spend 2-3 hours a day online. The ideal location would be within a 10 minute or so walk from the Omni area on Soi 4. They supply a network card and their staff are familiar with the setup. So if you do change your mind and decide to bring a laptop it's an option. I forgot to bench mark the DSL speed but I would guess it's somewhere around 64k. I think it's around 170 baht a day. Might be worth considering, I found it more convenient than trying to use internet cafe machine to get work done. I think GP is on a par with Omni if that's where you are looking to stay.
