bust Posted April 30, 2014 Report Share Posted April 30, 2014 After I had just finished writing about it in my trip report.... 14 killed in Tak road crash At least 14 people were killed when a truck crashed head-on into a local bus on a mountain road in Tak's Muang district late Wednesday morning, police and hospital officials said. The six-wheel truck, loaded with zinc plate, was heading to Muang district. The driver claimed his brakes failed, he lost control and crashed into the oncoming bus, a songthaew carrying local people. "The truck driver lost control and smashed into a car in front of him as well as hitting an oncoming bus," Pol Lt Col Patipan Mahatthanavisan said. A spokesman for the Tak provincial hospital said 14 people died in the accident, 11 of them at the scene and three more at the hospital. Another two people were injured.
