Good to see that the Thai Army believes in promotion for all units, Personnel Carriers become Tanks, it they do deploy any tanks, you can kiss the roads good buy, those things really cut up the tarmac,

ex-PM Chawalit is the one who bought the heavy Chinese tanks, since they were cheaper than US or Nato models. Then it turned out they are too heavy for Thailand's soil. About the only place they can be used effectively is on city streets!

I remember how Samsen Road was torn up by the tanks used in the April Fool's Day coup attempt in 1981. I watched part of the attempt from my apartment window.
