On a recent trip to the bank, my boyfriend told me that the computers only have member state of the EU, as an option for country of origin. On a recent trip to the bank, my boyfriend told me that the computers only have member state of the EU, as an option for country of origin. The bank is not suggesting that the UK no longer exists as a country. Accepting that the UK is a member state of the EU means that one set of rules can be used for banking transaction, which simplifies things.
