Flashermac
The coup general yak-yaked for quite some time yesterday, about 5 PM. He sited many issued and called for the Thai people to be more financially responsible. He talks the talk...but does he walk the walk I just realised something. It has really been a long time since we've heard anything about Chalerm and his sons misbehaving.
baa99
The junta sounds like a civilian PM? Under the junta, Free press Decrees with no debate Much worse than the T man.
King Kung
So far, I'm willing to give the coup makers (yes it's a coup) a break. Sure the measures they've taken thus far have been soft. I'm ready to give them credit. I never thought I'd say this, but they might make a difference. If the military can clean up its image they might be able to put a dent in corruption. Close down all the nasty police nonsense. That is Thailand's biggest problem -- police. When nobody respects anything, chaos ensues. Nobody respects the police because they don't respect anybody -- nor the law. It'll take 150 years to fix, but you have to start somewhere.
