stumpy
Hi, Does anyone know if an Orange pay as you go mobile can be used in Thailand? Thanks in advance.
Guest
No reason why it shouldn't if you put a Thai simcard in it. Beware of using a Thai Orange card, sms won't work to AIS mobiles. DTAC have a promo for 300B incl simcard and 300B credit. AIS sims are abt 800B at present.

Palatkik
>My Orange works fine calling to AIS phones/sims Blackie was referring to sms not connecting which I have read elsewhere. Anyone confirm?
Fatbastard
Checked with Orange and they confirm that their system will not interconnect with AIS for SMS only. Why ? AIS using their muscle to inhibit the growth of competition.... They (AIS) it is not technically possible !!!!! Orange say it is, until AIS can be brought into line it won't happen.
