Guest
I took a few pictures whilst away with my digital camera and promised the girls i would send them to them once home. Now comes the problem, The all seem to be of 550kb size and i've tried changing them to gif's to reduce size but that doesn't seem to have helped. I use paintshop pro 7 and want to reduce the size so i can send all 7 pictures at once. So come on guys can you help me ????
Straycat
Yeah....this is what you need to do: 1. reduce the images in size, i.e. height and width.....800 x 600 pixels or down to 500-400 pixels or so should do it. 2. compress the image further, i.e. use a higher compression rate on the jpeg file. (gif is not suitable for photographic images...use jpeg but with a higher compression rate.) All these options are available in Paint Shop Pro. Play around a bit and you should be able to figure it out. Good luck. Cheers, Straycat

Boo Radley
Hi Mitch, As Straycat says, you need to reduce the picture size. I've used Paint Shop Pro 4.12 (an earlier version) to yours. To resize the image, open it up in PSP and from the menu bar: Image->Resize - to open up the resize menu dialog box. Hope that helps.
ALHOLK
Hi! Although you are abolutely correct I have a minor comment. The resolutions you suggest are quite adequate for on screen viewing but if the girls want printouts of the pictures they may not render the best possible quality. regards ALHOLK
