gawguy Posted October 20, 2015 Report Posted October 20, 2015 Young lady had to change her phone number because she could not register her sim. I think that's what she meant. Then she said the reason: เลยโà¸à¸™à¸•ัดเบà¸à¸£à¹Œ What does that last bit mean? I can translate the words but I don't get the meaning. Thanks.. Gawguy

Gawguy เลยโà¸à¸™ = after transfer (of number) ตัดเบà¸à¸£à¹Œ = number was cut/ cancelled Which can happen for a number of reasons. Change of service provider, wanting a new number, or possibly non-payment on an overdue bill.
Flashermac Posted February 6, 2016 Report Posted February 6, 2016 Early last year, the government ordered everyone to register their phone number by a certain date. If you didn't, your number eventually would be cancelled. This happened to a Farang friend, since he was out of the country and unable to comply. If your number is cancelled, there's no way to get it back. You have to get a new one. This is most likely what happened to her.
