Guest
Dear Mr. Balls... If you've cleared your History recently then all links would have been reset to "unvisited" and would be in the "normal" colour. Double check Internet Options > General > Colors and make sure they are set correctly. If you're seeing the problem on only this site or just a few sites, remember that stylesheets override the default browser behaviour.

Guest
If you installed the new copy of IE6 over the old one without uninstalling, I suppose there's a chance that some problem persisted from the last installation. My next guess is that there's a glitch in the registry and/or something is not reading or writing to the History folder correctly. Try using the IE repair feature. Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. On the Install/Uninstall tab, highlight the IE6-related entry in the program list and click Add/Remove. A new dialog will open, select Repair Internet Explorer and click OK.
Guest
BB: Try changing the colors from: Control Panel> Internet Options > General > Colors The colors button is at the bottom of the form. You must have the same color for both visited and non-visited sites. Handy

Guest
BB: How often do you shut your computer down, i.e. completly powered off? If you haven't done this you should do this, it can reset things back to the way they should be. Also, as above, change the colors to something other that what is being displayed currently. See if this changes the colors the next time you start up explorer. Shut down again if necessary. Handy
