Goodthaigirl
Just would like to share additional info. There are two Thai Kings whose names are Ramathibodi. King Ramathibodi The First was the first king in U-tong dynasty (ÃҪǧ¤ìÃÙè·Ã§). He was also called King U-tong. He ruled the country during 1893-1912 BE. (Please deduct 543 for AD.) King Ramathibodi The Second was in Su-pan-pa-poom dynasty (ÃҪǧ¤ìÊؾÃóÀÙÃÔ). He ruled the country during 2034-2072 - 38 years !. Very remote from Chakri dynasty. Ramathibodi simply means 'Rama the great'. Since Ayuttaya era Thai got Indian ideology that we believe Kings are one of the existances from the God Rama. So, Kingship has become very sacred and god-like. GTG
