bushman
If it were me,I would consider the Nana Hotel. Discounts for long stay guest should be around 25,000-27,000 bht per month. Great location, all hotel services and an exellent breakfast buffet included. Just one man's opinion Bush

Guest
Several people have, in the past, mentioned the Omni Towers in Soi 4 as a good choice for extended stays. You can find them with a google search. >PR
Guest
SC, thanks for those links. I'm especially interested in the vp towers since I'm actually looking for an apartment away from the sanuk scene yet close to BTS. If anyone has more leads on apartments in those categories, please list them. My price range is between 10k and 20k. I understand that the further away from sukumvit and the sanuk areas, prices get more affordable. I'm just wondering if the ammenities and luxury would still be high. walletss
Value for money always leads me back to The First House Hotel in Pratunam. You can rent there on a monthly basis for 6500 baht per month plus power etc. Do a search for their web page and you will get a better idea of what's on offer. SoiledCowboy
Yeah, I agree with the sentiment of living away a bit from the high-traffic sanuk areas like the Nana Hotel, which the "youngies" would think heaven. - personally, I like to walk to the action from a nice quiet & pleasant soi where I can escape for a little R&R when it's needed and not try to sleep and then wake-up amongst the cut & thrust of the action ! Seem to be turning out to be an old fart in that regard.

Guest
hehe, I'm sorta a "youngie". When I go home, I want to go home and not to a nightly circus event. Plus, it's not like I'll be partying every night or every week even. I just want something reasonably close to BTS since it's the quickest and easiest way to get around(I get lost so so easily ) It's great for spontaneous movie or dinner outings. I'll most likely "hit the pavement" and go apartment hunting when I get to bkk, I just kinda wanna have some leads. The ammenities I really require are: -clear IDD phone line -typhoon powered AC -room size bigger than a closet although I've somewhat adapted to the majestic single rooms -so so tv. I rarely watch... Guest
Thanks for the lead on 'First House.' I didn't realize how many apartments were available till I looked at all the links. I've already contacted a few of the places that look interesting. It seems that I'll be able to find something that meets my needs. Thanks again to everyone!!
