Just as an aside, on quip.co.uk it costs 25p per minute to ring a landline in Thailand and 70p per minute to ring a mobile in Thailand (price includes VAT with a minimum charge 5p). However, if you ring an 09 mobile number it is charged at the landline rate (25p per minute). Cheers Fatbastard33
Guest
That's recently changed, in last few days. It was 5p to mobiles. Probably because of us. :-) 5p to landlines is still good value. Oh well, if it sounds to good to be true...............

fatbastard33
Long Gun, Thanks for sharing the info. Can even access the 08440 988 988 number from work without any problem and the line I talked on was very, very clear. Cheers Fatbastard33
Long Gun
We use the alternative number from a Telewest phone and it is still stating 'This call will cost 10p per minute.' Has anyone tried using the 5p number since they added that extra number for mobiles? LG
fatbastard33
It seems that Telediscount's prices are a moveable feast. It is now showing (Monday 30 September) on their website as: 5p per minute for calls to Thailand landline numbers, and 20p per minute for calls to Thailand mobile numbers. Cheers Fatbastard33
Guest
Just tried it on the 0844 number . Won't allow me to call a Thai mobile. You have to hang up and redial the 0905 number, otherwise you can carry on and ring a Thai landline number with no problems.

Guest
from the Telediscount website: Telewest Customer Beware! (30.09) Telediscount has been made aware that customers calling our access numbers via Telewest are grossly overcharged! The call charge you find on our website and played on our service is correct therefore this is what you SHOULD pay! If you discover you have been overcharged by Telewest, we advise you to complain to them straight away!! The telephone number where you can leave your complaint is: 0800 953 9000. Or use; http://www.telewest.co.uk/athome/servicecontactform.html
