Ashman
Was in O'Reilleys Irish bar in Silom yesterday and there's no smoking allowed between 11 am and 6 pm but after that it's ok. At promptly 6 the ashtrays are brought to the tables and everyone starts sparking up.Crazy.
Yehtmae
Yes a number of 'Bar/Restaurants' are trying it on with their own interpretations of the rules. Mostly British/Irish pubs. e.g. The Bulls Head now allows smoking downstairs but not upstairs. This is crazy because smoke rises and the second floor is open to the ground floor anyway! Seeing as enforcement of this is not carried out by the local police but the health ministry and city police, I suspect a couple of these places will be made examples of shortly.
