But before I go I have a few things I would like to leave in a safety deposit box. I would prefer "BKK Bank" but it is not that important really. What is more important is location. I expect that if eventually I do end up teaching English, a location somewhere along the BTS line would likely be more useful?? Anyone want to sugest a location of a bank that would allow me to open an account and a safety deposit box on the same day which you think might satisfy my needs ? Guest Posted December 21, 2002 Report Share Posted December 21, 2002 I have just tried Bangkok Bank in Bangkok and my wife needs to maintain a deposit of 100k to "guarantee" the box which costs 500 baht a year. I currently have one with Hong Kong Shanghai Bank but they have srated charging me a monthly fee on my savings account and I want to look at my options.
