iuytrede
I use cold showers. Refreshing and safe.
lopburi3
Refreshing and safe. In this case it was not safe even with the heater turned off; the flow switch was allowing current to flow down the shower hose. You obviously don't have a wife who has decided that cool water belongs in the klongs and not in the bath. ::
Falang
Since you are in Thailand I have a quetion for you: did you ever see a outlet with a ground? Do you think they are using it now in the newer building?
lopburi3
did you ever see a outlet with a ground? I have seen the outlets in newer condos but have not checked them to see if they are really grounded (most of the outlet strips sold in stores now accept ground plugs but lead to a two blade plug into the wall). Believe the computer age is making the country more aware of grounds as all this equipment does come with ground plugs and outlet strips sold in computer places generally do have a group plug attached. And people do get a buzz from many computers if they are not grounded/and excess noise. But it has only been within the last year or two that 3 wire cable and grounded outlets have been available at most electric shops. But they have had GFI in common use much longer than in the West (my whole house became protected in 1976). And most of my house has been converted to grounded outlets within the last year (upstairs still to do).
Falang
Totally right about GFI, here in the Canada you only find it in bathrooms.
