Guest
Not looking for a turd to sound like a rose. Just making sure, the rose does not sound like a turd. Try to explain to a Thai employee, be more descriptive. Pretend I'm blind..what are the colors of the walls, how new is the furniture, etc. Just falls on deaf ears. Hence the offer. Guest
SB, <So if you are married to a Thai citizen then the issued capital requirement for the company does NOT apply.> In order to get a work permit..it does not apply. However not sure if every Immigration officier in BKK is aware of the new rules. TIT. Saw this article in the Phuket Gazette a couple weeks ago. Visas and Thai-foreign worker ratios Why does the Immigration Office demand to know if there are four Thai workers per foreigner in a company in order for an expatriate to get a one-year extension on his non-immigrant B visa? The new law for work permits doesn?t specify any ratio. I received a copy of the new law from Bangkok about six months ago. I don?t understand why Phuket Immigration not is up-to-date on this issue. Why does Immigration ask about this at all? When a person has been granted a work permit the law says that he or she is entitled to a one-year visa. Thursday, December 12, 2002 Karsten, Phuket. ?We are aware of the new regulations, however they have yet to come into effect at immigration. There are specific types of businesses where the ratio of Thai workers to foreigners is monitored. However, companies supervised by the Board of Investment (BOI) or companies registered abroad, such as specialists, consultant companies and large manufacturing companies, are exempt from this. To check whether you need to show the ratio of Thai workers to foreign workers when applying for a one-year extension, contact the Phuket Provincial Immigration Office. ?
