  1. Guys, let death be a final thing. It is inevitable and and comes with deadly certainty! For every living being nothing is as certain as death - literally cocksure. But man is the only living being of which we are certain that he knows it, however uncertain the time of passing away may be. I learned at school: "mors certa, hora incerta". Death is certain, but not the hour. All life stands under this almost definitory condition. You don't have to be Benjamin Franklin to realize that at least for us humans taxes and death are inevitable. And we in Germany have the highest direct taxes, the highest social security contributions, and the highest indirect taxes. But I think positiv! ----> I remember an old song of Stevie Wonder: POSITIVITY! Nasiadai – Live from Buxtetown on the Este River – 25.10.2019 - Late! 0.50 a.m.
  2. At the moment I am preparing my holidays in SOA from January to early April 2020. My doctors - two internists and one general practitioner - have given the green light again. All examinations had a good result. Something else: In my social environment - friends, acquaintances - men die away. A friend from old childhood days - a gifted football player, later a coach - died at the age of 64. Two doctors - a paediatrician and a gynocologe - died at 62 and 75. My ex-brother-in-law died at 68. The impacts are getting closer and closer. 555555555555
  3. 555555555 yes, I know. It's hard for me to converse in the English language. My possibilities of expression are very limited. The situation is different when I express myself in writing in comments, reports, annotations, etc. I use dictionaries and small translation aids from the Internet. The English grammar and syntax are very simple, thank God. The only difficult rule for me is the 'paraphrasing with to do'. The grammar and syntax of the German language are probably the most complicated of all world languages. A foreigner who has a reasonably faultless command of our language has my highest recognition.
  4. Coss writes: "Keep it up, I hope to one day meet you in person so we can reminisce on days gone by " In one of my last holidays in SOA I met Herrn Flashermac in the Lucky Luke Bar at Nana Plaza. One of my Thai friends - a Thai Airways captain - was with me. It is always interesting, to put faces to names. However: my knowledge of English is very limited. I find it difficult to have a reasonably meaningful conversation in a language I learned at school about 55 years ago. Some remarks about the Nana Plaza: The Nana Plaza was for me my center of the world from 1992 on for over 20 years. This NP has lost its charm, its attraction in recent years. That's why I prefer Pattaya now. It may also have something to do with my becoming old. I will spend a few days in Pattya, Jomtiem from Friday 3 January 2020 until Wednesday 8 January. More precisely: in the so-called Soi Welcome in the hotel "Happy Bou". In March I will spend about 4 weeks in Pattaya.
  5. Here is actually a ban on pictures. Girls may not be shown - according to the rules of this board. Also their names and e.g. their bars and their numbers may not be mentioned. The idea of Khun Sanuk was: The privacy of the girls should be protected. That was since the foundation of this board - I believe in the year 1995 - the policy of this board. This rule almost resembled the image ban of the Bible: You shouldn't make yourself a picture or any parable. (2nd book of Moses, chapter 20) Khun Sanuk allowed only one exception: number 33 from the Dollhouse, Clinton Plaza. This girl was so well known, so popular, she was so often called, she was constantly reported that KhunSanuk capitulated.
  6. I have been driving to the Hat Tung Wua Laen beach since about 1996. I have reported about it almost every year on this board (and on its predecessors). Of course I have made friends and acquaintances over the years. There were many adventures, events, beautiful restful days. I love this beach. I have taken it into my heart.
  7. The fate that has befallen Washington Square is now threatening Queens Park Plaza. Queens Park Plaza, like the WS, is also a high quality part of the real estate market, and so it is part of the Bangkok real estate market! In the long run, the higher yield will prevail over old-fashioned romanticism and individual wishful thinking. The bars, massage parlours, small shops and restaurants there did not generate enough turnover and did not make enough profit. Then comes a potent investor, and offers a new, rewarding, profitable use. The "new, modern times" have mercilessly wiped out this part of Bangkok. Luxurious hotel complexes, expensive restaurants, exclusive boutiques for the nouveau-rich Asian clientele have come with them a part of the old, romantic Bangkok has been extinguished. I can't turn the WS into a restricted area, a protected zone of my blessed memories. All of us together cannot declare Washington Square a UNESCO World Heritage Site and thus protect it from the wrecking ball. That is the wistful truth.
  8. Washington Square fell victim to the wrecking ball a few years ago. Now Queens Park Plaza has to bite the dust. The only constant is the change. I remember Washington Square: Washington Square was located on the Sukumvhit between the Soi 22 and Soi 24; a plaza with about a dozen pubs that have settled there since the end of the 70s. A meeting place for Anglo-American "local expats" as well as a few Vietnam veterans and Anglo long-term vacationers; mostly pensioners, drinking away their pensions ... The "Silverdollar", the "Prince of Wales", the "Wild Country Bar", the "Texas Lone Star", the "New Square One Pub" and some others. When you entered these bars, you noticed that these pubs breathe history, these pubs can tell an infinite number of great stories. When I discovered them around 1997/98, I thought I was in the heart of Düsseldorf's Old Town. Among the Anglo-American guests of Washington Square there were some interesting types; unfortunately most of them already deceased. It was always great to talk to them for two or three hours. The only one still active is Richard Diran. Have a look at the website. In memory of Washington Square, Richard painted a picture of the Texas Lone Star; at the bottom right he immortalized himself. On it the regulars, the girls; he tried to capture the atmosphere of this pub. I remember the king of the "squaronions" Kurt Francis. "Your voice of Bangkok". http://www.diranart.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=172 www.Diranart.com
  9. aaaaahhhhh number 33. Clinton Plaza ----- that was when I was young, strong, well trained. Oh my goodness. Time drags by so quickly.
  10. Cavanami, wrong thread! You need to be more careful. Nasi - Bakwahn
  11. "GIK" seems to be a new creation of colloquial English. None of my dictionaries know this word. Where does it come from? What are its etymological roots? Does this word come from the new technical language of electronic communication? So the computer, the smartphone, the Internet? Coss writes: " Girlfriend/Boyfriend - not usually headed for marriage, more like 'friends with benefits', or at least that's my understanding." What could be the semantic differences between the normal (or even meanwhile old-fashioned) boyfriend/girlfried and the new-fashioned gik? What is expressed in such a new term? What social changes? ok. ok. I don't want to deepen that further.
  12. I'm stupid and uneducated. Please, what is a "gik"???
  13. Hi Migrant, I've been looking at Bang Saphan on the map. It's about 10 km to 12 km north of Hat Tung Wua Laen; something like that. It looks very nice there. A real alternative to Hat Tung Wua Laen. The big German group you're talking about is probably old people, all of them retired, who spend the winter there (November - March). If you have interesting information for me, then please let them come ... 1. accommodation At Hat Tung Wua Laen I pay in my bungalow complex 250 to 300 Baht for my bungalow. 2. a few pubs, beach bars 3. other information Thank you in advance Nasiadai – Bakwahn
  14. God willing, I will come to Bangkok on Friday 3 January 2020. I will then drive together with one of my Thai friends to the Jomtiem beach in the Soi Welcome; deep down in the south of Pattaya. We stay there for 5 days. Parties, Barhopping, Girls, Girls Girls are then the flavour of the month. Afterwards I will drive to my beach, the Hat Tung Wua Laen near Chumpon at the Gulf. I have often reported about this beach. Also with some pictures. This beach is for approx. 24 years (since January 1996) my retreat for peace and recovery. There are also some girls; no, no, no bargirls, just normal ladies. From there it goes on to Laos and later in February to Burma. This time I absolutely want to see Pagan. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bagan https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pagan_Kingdom In March I want to spend about 3 weeks again in Pattaya. At the beginning of April I will go back to Joeraman in spring.
  15. Here you can read a swan song about the former Secretsboard. http://www.pattayagogos.com/nlne.htm “30th September 2019 Secrets Bar opened in 2006 on Soi 14. It was a development based upon the Walking Street FLB Bar which had been an early trail blazer for the new idea of an internet forum. The FLB forum was Pattaya Talk and proved very popular as place to discuss Pattaya nightlife while also promoting FLB Bar as a community meeting point. Secrets was an offshoot from FLB and adopted both the idea of a forum and a meet up bar. The Pattaya Secrets Forum became the most popular in Pattaya and was key to many people's knowledge of Pattaya nightlife. The forum maintained this popularity over many years but eventually declined giving way to Pattaya Addicts on the forum front, and to Facebook more generally. The Bar also declined, perhaps related to the decline of the forum. Whilst still maintaining a connection to the Soi 14 Bar, the main focus of Secrets moved to Cambodia. Secrets tried to keep the forum going via a new forum host but it didn't work out and now the Secrets forum has totally closed. But the Secrets Forum had a good run and will be missed by many.” So far Dave from Pattayagogo. Nasiadai - Bakwahn
  16. My dear Mr. Panadol Sandwich, what do you think I care about your assessment? The assessment of whether or not we Germans belong to the human race again. Your answer 5555 I don't give a fuck! I couldn't care less about that. I appreciate your contributions and your objectivity; but to instrumentalize history to exclude me or us from the community ... no. Other countries, other peoples have a skeleton in the closet, too. Probably even more! I am thinking of the age of colonialism and imperialism. Besides, I am not responsible for the deeds of my grandparents or my great-grandparents. Peace Nasiadai – Bakwahn
  17. Yes, Shibyao, you're right. The air in Bangkok is terribly bad and polluted. Cars, trucks, mopeds and motorcycles pollute the air with their exhaust fumes. Dense clouds of exhaust gases consisting of fine dust, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and sulphur dioxide - and what else do I know - drift through the street canyons of Bangkok. This is a poisonous cocktail that is harmful to the lungs and health. I was often and long on the road in Bangkok; mainly at the hot spots of traffic: along Sukumvhit, Silom, Ploenchit and Ratchdamri (Erawan Shrine). I noticed the enormous strain on my lungs from the dirty and exhaust polluted air. Even at Sanam Luang and Chayo Praya one notices the strong pollution of the air in one's own lungs. I have no solution for this problem. Unless: Abolition of the combustion engine, no coal and oil power plants. So the ban on burning fossil fuels. But where else is the energy to come from?
  18. When I saw the girl Nee-On dancing in the Super Girl a gogo at Diamond Plaza about 3 years ago, I was healthy again with all of a sudden and 28 years young, strong and powerful as in my best years. This girl could rival the Japanese porn stars. I have reported about her in detail. Last March 2019 I met her again. She is wonderful. Oh memories, swet memories ….
  19. A few years ago I accidentally found this girl while surfing aimlessly the Internet. Then I did further research and found out quite fast that the Japanese have the biggest and most professional porn industry in the world. Very surprising for me. And they have a lot of busty girls. That was the second big surprise for me. The Asian girls are all rather flat-bosomed. During further researches and inquiries I discovered lots of Japanese Bilderbuchmädchen = “picture book” girls. A few porn production companies have specialized in busty girls; like: Bobb = Abc/ Mousou Zoku GAS E-Body Some of my favourite girls are: Fuko - Mirumiru Kurumi - Rin Kajika aka Ria Sakuragi - Kaho Shibuya, and the inevitable Hitomi Tanaka. and many more ….
  20. Backpfeifengesicht ====> colloquial, derogatory: a face begging for a slap in the face Face like a fire alarm; Face to punch in The German pop group "Die Ärzte" (The Doctors) even did a song about the face of a baking pipe.
  21. We're getting off-topic. SHIBUYA ???? I only know one Shibuya, and this is the Japanese Pornolady Kaho Shibuya. Actually a beautiful girl; and wonderful big boobies. Oh my goodness!
  22. I don't think this board is going back to old lively times. That would mean that a lot of younger men would make Sanuk-holidays in Siam and come to this board. * The Euro is on the brink of collapse. * The English Pound is struggling with the difficulties of Brexit. * The US Dollar fights with / against China and the trade war and the global economy. This board will stagnate as listlessly as it has in recent years. Nasiadai – Bakwahn
  23. Many international, English-language boards have disappeared in recent years. They had a good time about 15 to 18 years; from the mid 90s to about 2012, 2015. Many hundreds, even thousands of members, many contributions, very lively. The reason they died: They lacked offspring. The later-born male cohorts did not make it onto the boards. I suspect very strongly: their income, their money was no longer sufficient to come to LOS and enjoy the Sanuk. Twenty-seven, thirty years ago, you needed about $100 to buy a day of Sanuk. Today you need about 250 to 280 Dollars. Income in the West has not improved by these amounts. I'll make it short in a few words: * the stagnating or only very weakly growing wages and salaries in most Western countries * the increase in prosperity in Siam with increased wages * the strong Baht and the weak Western currencies Dollar, Pound, Euro. 24. I have posted on the Secretsboard in the past years; e.g. detailed travel reports with several pictures. On this board it was allowed to post pictures with girls. But in the last years ( 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 )one subgroup has won a clear majority: the generation 65 plus! The so-called “old white men”. And this subgroup increasingly dominated the topics: Weather, accommodation, medical care such as pharmacies, doctors, dentists, hospitals, cleaning and domestic help. In addition good and inexpensive food and drink, as well as meeting places and locations where white old men can meet and chat about “God and the world” without being disturbed by bargirls. These topics dominated the board to 80% or 90%. The central themes of earlier times such as girls and bars and gogos no longer played a role for 65, 70, 75 and 80 year old guys, The vast majority were long-term vacationers - over 3, 4, 5 months a year, or living in Pattaya all year round.
