Mighty Euro back up above 50 again - Almost on parity to Sterling now!

interesting times indeed!

 

@oanda.com today 2nd last day of 2008 Thai baht & Sterling fell against the Euro.

 

EUR=50.32THB - trend is typical rate, but can it climb to all time high?

GBP=1.033EUR - trend is all time low & continuing down?

I (we) only have euros and baht...

 

would be nice if euro could remain high against bht for a few more days high as I have to make a not too small one from euro to bht...

yes would be wise to do the fx soon even of course the rate could increase in your favour - currently on the street one'll get upto 49 so TT (bank transfer) should yield pretty much 50 currently - all time high I ever noticed was 53 or so not much higher & not for long few days!

Usually you don't mind too much if exchange rate is 46 or 49...except that xxk multiplied by 46 or 50 starts to make a nice amount to save...

Time will tell Pound will recover sometime in 2009.

I do mind ..... that is one extra day of food in some cases even on 100 Euro's. It is only at 49 though ...

Do I take it from that remark you think we are all desperate to join the Euro? Just for your information we're not! I'd personally be delighted if we left the EU let alone joined the Euro.
