doxx
I'm looking to run a few blood tests such as LDL/HDL and various blood hormone levels. Where can I do this in BKK at a place where they speak English but at the same time is not expensive or difficult to deal with. A private clinic is preferred. WorldFun
I guess any 'mid range' private hospital would help you out just fine. Downtown I don't know that many froim personal experience, but there's phayathai 2 up near victory monument, viphavadee a bit further up towards don muang or perhaps bangkok cristian at silum? i'm sure others can suggest even more or a google search can bring up a complete list giving you best pick for location? top range to avoid (for pricing reasons) I guess include BNH, Bamrungrad, Bangkok hospital & samtivej?... cheers! Redbaron
I had some good experiences at Bangkok Hospital.. was a few years back though and I was surpried how cheap it was. English good, service superb.
cavanami
Sukhumvit Hospital, near the Ekkamai BTS station. English is OK and mid-priced. A complete checkup; blood tests, chest x-ray, abdominal ultrasound, EKG, doctor checkup, was 3600 Baht last year, not sure what it is this year. Just the blood test for a couple of things should be well under 1000 Baht (maybe 300 ~ 500?). On the cheap, Lerdsin Hospital near the Taksin Saphram BTS station, short walk to Silom rd. jai-dee
Last January I compiled a comparison of various health check programs and their prices: sukhumvit 3,600 bangkok 12,700 christian 3,670 bnh 17,900 vejthani 15,200 st. louis 7,100 8,300 phythai 13,900 bumrungrad 13,
cavanami
Nice list!
WorldFun
yes indeed a nice list, but I wonder whether they are directly comparable as various quoted packages is doomed to offer various checks. e.g. for Nonthavej (another mid range choice) prices vary depending on sex & age & I guess it again can vary on individual choices promotions etc. http://www.nonthavej.co.th/Patient/Detail.aspx?Id=3&t=type e.g. how else could sukhumvit hosp. be so cheap & others so expensive apart from some obvious 'class differences'? typically a 'checkup' can be anything from very basic (few tests) to very extensive (gold/plat packages) so do compare apples & oranges
cavanami
Suk Hospital gives you (males) an EKG, chest x-ray, abdominal ultrasound, an excellent range of a blood test, doctor check all for 3600 baht. Females can get the same or pay a bit extra for their "female checks", like 600 baht more, or so. I do not see anything else that needs to be checked, at least for me, this is enough.
