If it were me, I would definitely be verifying the guest-friendly part with them in advance, over e-mail or phone...gotta be careful with routes like Agoda and Priceline... Tim i always make the reservation for 2 people. saying my gf/wife will arrive later as they are visiting friends if asked where the 2nd person is. imo if i book for 2 people then that's it,no business of theirs if a different '2nd person' stays each night.
