Thai Immigration Asks Foreigners For Bank Accounts, Social Media, Hangouts

Just renewed my visa. Only thing different was I had to get a form from my landlord listing all the foreigners in the apartment building. They didn't figure they'd need to include, and had just done it for the Burmese maid and handyman. That required a trip home to get it.

 

Still, the female sergeants at Immigration were all in a very cheerful mood. I wonder if they just got a pay increase or something. They were both friendly and helpful. I wonder what they're up to.

I also renewed my visa yesterday, but at the One Stop Center at Samyan. I did have to include the intrusive form.

I object to the idea that Flashermac is required not only to get a visa, but even to document his eligibility. Terrible.
