ALHOLK
Hi all! I'm considering an overday shopping trip to BKK. Could someone fill me in on the current prices at Panthip. I'm also mildly interested in the software situation even though I'm using Linux software more and more these days. Thanks in advance ALHOLK
Straycat
Pirated software sales is going full on. Number of porno flicks offered seem to be on a new high. I was at Panthip only a few days ago... As for DVD prices, I actually don't know as I never check this out (mostly 'cause I think the porno movie sellers are annoying). khunsanuk
Hi, Bought a couple of DVDs in Fortune yesterday. Paid 230 Baht each. These are full copies of the master, including all additional content and superb quality. You can get the DVD5 types for about 150-160 Baht, but quality is often less. Sanuk! khunsanuk
Hi, Saw the full James Bond set in Fortune. Hefty price though, 5,500 Baht. Don't think they had any other sets, but who knows. Sanuk!
harlequinbkk
Khun Sanuk, Are you referring to the mall just North of the Fortune Hotel? I bought some discs there earlier in the year, but around Sept. and Oct., all of the (pirate) CD/DVD shops seemed to have been shut down. I'm just curious, but you have any idea what was going on with this? Harlequin
steffi
Haven't seen copies of that stuff around but there's a shop in World Trade that has a lot of UK DVDs and Comedy's like that. Cannot remember the name but there aren't many shops in World Trade like this.
khunsanuk
Hi, "Are you referring to the mall just North of the Fortune Hotel?" That's the one. Same building as the Fortune Hotel and Lotus. Sanuk!
My Cow Jai
I passed thru Bkk one afternoon last week and checked out Fortune. While I did'nt find any British Classics I did find some American ones; The full Soprano's set, box sets of the Friends series, sets of the Simpson's and a few more. All Malaysian imports at 200B a throw. Thankx. Also went to world trade as another poster suggested but turned up nothing of interest - a boxed set of 6 Bond movies for 5000B! :: If anyone else knows where I can buy British Classics from and other places to buy Simpsons DVD's, I would be most grateful.
