Difficult to change the setup when you have to rely on Congress itself to make the change. Sort of like the fox guarding the chicken coop.

Congressional salaries, compared to the cost of getting elected, leads one to believe that congressmen are not working to receive salaries, but something else.

Would be nice if members of congress AND their staff had the same insurance plans as everyone else. But frankly speaking, by tweeking the provider network their insurance plans could turn into gold-plated insurance plans.

What this should teach us is that one should think twice before deciding to carry and/or keep a weapon whether it is a handgun or a samurai sword. In times of conflict one cannot control how one will react and with the addition of hot emotion the chance of deadly force being used cannot be controlled. Just my opinion on this issue....
