How could this go wrong?

It would seem it's real and that Sony has decided not to release "The Interview" in response to threats to target theatres that show the movie.

2 thoughts come to mind:

Sony genuinely care about their audiences and pulled the movie to prevent any injury to same. This has never bothered the movie makers of films about Iraq or Iran or Afgannystan.

The hackers got enough information to destroy Sony - this is more likely IMHO

Then why are they not shaking down the 1.3 million Thais?

The guys in NZ should be cautious, there's a curious vein of National Loyalty in NZ Gang culture, the Yakuza and the Triads have never been able to gain a foothold, though they've tried.
