  1. But then people would have to go back to talking to each other?
  2. 1st prize to Kong In Vientiane, the "Do you know who my father is?" wankers need special, uncomplicated parking, as to find a park with the proles, is obviously too far beneath them. And if it involves any backing let alone parallel parking it would be too hard for the little man egos. I saw a Pagani Zonda the other day, this in a country that has the World Bank's "Least Developed Status"
  3. More like: OK children, it's going to be like this, we're going to sort out these problems and we're going to do it now. You can be in the team and be helpful, or, we have other options for you. Now what do you want to do?
  4. Yep it's a juvenile Eagle, about 3 foot tall, lives in a sandwich shop here in Laos. Now what is the meaning of the sign?
  5. Not mitigating the tragedy, but it appears they were lucky not to have been killed prior to this from gunfire.

    Curfew Update Please

On Friday and Saturday, (some time ago now) Nong Khai was observing the curfew, not that there was anyone out to see it, 10 O'clock normally sees most Nong Khaians tucked up with their faves.
  9. On that other board, some posts said that the alleged army officer allegedly was also referring to foreigners and their Isaan whores, repeatedly I have no way to verify this allegation
  10. Incidentally, being popular doesn't equate to being a leader, just ask the biggest butt in the known world, Kim Kardashian.
  11. "Constant barrage of selfies and photos every day." could be amended to "Constant barrage of selfies and photos every minute of every hour of every day." Civilisation has changed, in the coming generations, only those who know the modern equivalent of "Don't believe anything you read", will have a chance of rising above the masses. I think George Orwell's 1984, underestimated the moronity that is capable of being achieved in the populace. Is moronity a word? Answers on the back of a twit, send it to hashbrown#whateverisyourfavourite and then we'll know who's really popular
  12. I would imagine that the duty free shop in whatever Army base she was being held at, was considered to be substandard, indeed cruel and unusual punishment.

    Nightlife News

I can vouch for that, I had to stay next door on my recent visit. And a fine visit it was too.... On the coup, I was let out of LOS with MLG no problems - the 20 or soldiers, took a good look in my car for reds under the back seat but were polite and friendly. Also in the Glorious People's Republic, the coup has not been reported, not one story I can find anywhere. Too nerve-wracking to think about?

    Coup Declared

Maybe they're summoning folk such as Charnvit Kasetsiri, so they can get a balanced picture, or a balanced box of ideas to go forward with. But then why summon Pokemon?
  15. I'm not supporting the "Buzz" just an an opinion from me
  16. I would agree that this coup has approval from somewhere (sorry Flash, JMHO)

    Coup Declared

Tried to find an appropriate thread for this bit of information, this thread seems the best. On Friday morning the border crossing to Laos at Nong Khai was closed to Foreigners (both ways), and Thais exiting Thailand. By the afternoon, Foreigners (me) were allowed into Thailand and out again today (Sunday). There's a significant Army presence checking faces and passports of everyone exiting Thailand. But friendly fellows, the soldiers were. Got stopped four times in 10 minutes by police trying to shake me down for money though. 200 bht no seatbelt.
  18. Missy, go to NZ if you want PC. For a start I wouldn't be allowed to call you Missy. Some 150kg feminazis would pillory me for doing so.
  19. To continue the thread hijack, yes I believe this is accurate.
  20. I'm with Steve. Ban people because you can, that's power I want.
  21. I visited NNB twice recently, he wasn't in evidence, there was 1 prehistoric crone dancing. I'm not sure how this place survives.
