  6. I cannot imagine Thaksin not being sentenced in 2001 already. I cannot imagine Thaksin and his relatives not being behind bars for life if they tried the same things in the west. Why are you defending a dictatorial family? I guess you love Putin to?

  8. http://www.nationmultimedia.com/breakingnews/Nine-Cabinet-members-removed-along-with-Yingluck-30233066.html Nine Cabinet members removed along with Yingluck The Constitutional Court ruled Wednesday that nine members of the first Yingluck Cabinet that approved the transfer of National Security Council chief Thawil Pliensri were removed from office along with caretaker PM Yingluck Shinawatra. The nine are Deputy Prime Minister Pracha Promnog, Labour Minister Chalerm Yoobamrung, Deputy Prime Minister Plodprasop Suraswadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Kittiratt Na-Ranong, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul, PM's Office Minister Santi Promphat, Information and Communication Technology Minister Anudith Nakornthap, Deputy Defence Minister Gen Yuthasak Sasiprapha and Deputy Agriculture Minister Siriwat Kachornprasart.
  9. http://www.nationmultimedia.com/politics/Charter-Court-dismisses-Yingluck-and-nine-cabinet--30233068.html The Constitutional Court on Wednesday dismissed caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra from office, ruling that she abused her power by transferring National Security Council Thawil Pliensri. The nine Cabinet members involved in the unlawful transfer of Thawil were stripped of their positions. "The Prime Minister's status has ended, Yingluck can no longer stay in her position acting as caretaker prime minister," a judge said in a live televised ruling. The remainder of the cabinet can continue working, the judge said. The judge said Yingluck violated the charter on the transfer of Thawil from position of National Security Council. The transfer of Thawil Pliensri from the post of National Security Council chief was unlawful, unconstitutional and unethical. Yingluck Shinawatra had a hidden agenda in ordering the transfer and also intended to benefit a relative. The court thus ruled that the transfer was prohibited by the law as it was unethical and a conflict of interest. The Court ruled that only Yingluck and nine other Cabinet members who took part in Thawil's transfer must be removed from the Cabinet. The others, who were not members of the Yingluck Cabinet that approved Thawil’s transfer, can remain in office as caretaker Cabinet members. The court also ruled that the caretaker Cabinet can continue its duties until the new Cabinet takes office. The Constitutional Court ruled that it has no mandate to order the appointment of a new prime minister within seven days as requested by the complainant. The request to the court to order the appointment of a new was made by Senator Paibul Nititawan during the trial on Tuesday. Paibul filed the abuse of power suit against Yingluck.

  11. Forgive my bad English. But what I meant is the former owners of the bar that is now a gogo. Sorry for the confusion. I do hope they keep the prices the same as Ray did. 40 baht for a plate of chips was great!
  12. Everything inside was gone. Including the bar
  13. I went by there just now as I was in the neighbourhood. It is being rebuild. Walls on streetside are gone, they were building inside. So it is closed at this moment
  14. Ray sold the Offshore to the owners of the place that is now a gogo bar on soi 23. I was there 1 day before Ray's last day. He had had enough of it for quite some time already! I was going there myself about once a month sometimes more as I liked the fresh chips he has. I have not been in since. But Ray said the new owners would renovate it and continue it more or less the same.
  15. In Holland they would resign. I would assume it to be "normal" in many countries. But then again I do not follow politics in those countries.
  16. So just now I went downstairs in my condo because I wanted to buy some eggs to make a fried egg with cheese on bread. Nothing unusual I have been buying eggs there for close to 15 years. I walk out of the shop and a woman whom has been living as long at the condo as I have and whom cuts my hair shouts out ..... oh wow the farang eats eggs leh ....... I came close to blowing a fuse as I hear these kind of stupid remarks so many times, even from people whom have known me for a long time that I am seriously starting to wonder about this country from time to time . I ask the lady why a farang shouldn't eggs. She says, she had never realized people ate eggs outside of Thailand (and she was serious). So I ask her if people in Laos do not eat eggs, and she thought they would not, as eggs are a "Thai" thing. I get these kind of stupid remarks so many times in a week, it really gets on my nervs. Just last Saturday we are eating somewhere with the comedy group, with whom I have played for over 10 years and shared 3000 meals or so and I ask for the rice bowl and one of them says ..... oh you can eat rice leh .... . Same with tea, noodles, sticky rice, som tam etc etc etc. Like I said it gets on my nervs!

  22. March 31st 2014 RIP Frankie Knuckles, the godfather of house (https://en.wikipedia...rankie_Knuckles) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOLE1YE_oFQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIdimVDuSEU "House was Disco's revenge" http://www.chicagotribune.com/entertainment/music/turnitup/ct-frankie-knuckles-appreciation-20140402,0,5136893.column Frankie Knuckles, who died Monday at age 59 in Chicago, was not just the "godfather" of Chicago house music. He was a pioneer in the way he cultivated a culture, a sound and a community around dance music that decades later encompasses the world. Now DJs such as Skrillex, Tiesto, Deadmau5 and Afrojack can fill stadiums internationally as part of the EDM (or electronic dance music) movement. Whether they know it or not, they all owe a debt to Knuckles, the DJ who essentially launched their scene in the late '70s from the Warehouse, a narrow club on Jefferson Street that was a sanctuary for Chicago's gay community. It could be plausibly argued that Knuckles was as important to the birth of contemporary dance music as James Brown was to soul or Chuck Berry to rock 'n' roll. And like those innovators, Knuckles helped nurture a deceptively sophisticated sound that celebrated and embraced outsiders and misfits — in Knuckles' case, the gay African-American and Hispanic communities.
