The Uber , AirB-.something and related strategies are mostly favourable for the consumer but exploit the operator in the long run . While I would want Uber to be able to operate for example in Italy with his fraudulent and terribly expensive taxistas I cannot see additional value in a country which is low cost anyway . Motorcycletaxi has become my favorite means of transportatioon in BKK although I am sure it will kill me one day , the real bastards are the tuktuk-pilots .

The big hospitals like Bumrungrad (Sukhmvit soi 3) have top notch laboratories and you should have the result within about an hour.

roughly estimated we are seperated by a million miles but thank you a lot for your advice . We usually neglect the solution that is closest , I shall report .

That place has giant rooms, multi-room suites - GIANT! - nice wooden floors, big balconies, washing machine, giant bed, it's excellent. I don't know what they expect guests to do with the large empty closet room, but someday I'll find a use for it. The drawback there is currently the weak room service choices - new restaurant is no good, I say.

 

And yes, it can be loud, even 20+ floors up - but with Q-bar closed that has improved for the moment. They are usually my arrival day choice - airport taxi to hotel, shower-beer-bourbon and fresh change of clothes, and then bars. (Though I am virtually alone, it seems to me, in having this lifestyle in that hotel - mainly Indian tourists these days, I'd say, but they look not askance at my 10 am stumble-in parties...) Value for money, absolutely. And you get a newspaper in the morning, usually - or can easily borrow your neighbors.

My fullest agreement on all accounts . The empty room I use for storage of suitcase amd other ; I do not like visible luggage in hotel rooms , it makes an ambience that looks somewhat temporary while for example my deep love for Pam is already eternal .

And as we are at it : other than the permanent prophecies of all sort of doomsday fortune tellers say there are hidden gems all over the place . I am talking about a small soi to your right after you left Frazer Suites direction Sukh . This alley leads into Soi 1(?) later on and at the very beginning is an original Thai massage shop with strictly medical treatments . A hole in the wall but where I located a wonderful therapist who is actually part of my decision for Frazer Suites because madame insisted that I come again to see her . A pleasure ; for both I may add .

Gentlemen ,

sincerest apologies for troubling the community with unpleasant subjects . But although I have unlimited confidence in the fidelity of Thai women , or Lao respectively , I have even greater confidence in proper health tests . First choice being the red Cross Hospital Rachadamri Road . Unfortunately the process there is a bit tiring although I usually give the responsible person 500 Bht to move us forward on the waiting list .

The question is : does anybody know an institution or person in the Sukh area doing this job fast and RELIABLY . As a sign of gratitude I promise to mention the helpful boardmember in moments of utmost possible emotion .

Fraser Suites, soi 11

 

Sir ,

I am as usual deeply touched by your words of endless wisdom , in particular your recommendation of Fraser Suites Soi 11as per yesterday 17:33 . It might have been the very same hour that I booked a premier room at the property for June the 1st and following . Price is 102 USD , and with breakfast 104 which gives us some idea how they rate their breakfast internally . The Premier room offers a huge area where you spend half the day to locate your glasses , the box with the Viagra and all sorts of other desperately wanted objects . Units have balconies to the Soi side and are so high up that it is dead quiet at any time of the day . Well not really .

For breakfast I recommend to take the in house tuk tuk shuttle , cross Sukh and enter the VISA restaurant Soi 8 .

After 4 nights I shall move to Center Point Soi 10 to enjoy the quiet Soi and a completely different ambience culminating in nocturnal Gin Tonics at Lollipop Bar discussing the problem if God exists and such .

I do explicitly avoid the question what did finally happen to your Chinese alarm clock after unit gave up sending alarm signals as requested at the appropriate hour . You were planning to contact relevant Mainland authorities about the matter requesting clarification . An update would be in order .

Now hotels Bangkok .

After breaking up with Extremely Lovely Nok I found my riverside lodge a bit boring due to almost unsurmountable distance to somewhat more entertaining places like Soi 4 in general or Beergarden Soi 7. Which made me stay at the aforementioned Landmark a couple of times til these people were unable to offer me a extension of my stay due to a pointless convention nearby . I do not forgive this kind of behaviour and started looking for alternatives in the area . Which led me to " Serviced apartments " after consulting a website . I am now a fan of serviced apartments due to low prices at sort of hotel service but 5 times the space of any hotel room . Latest solution being Centre Point Soi 10 (?) . Currently asking about 70 Euros for a lovely garden room . Pam from Lao says its great and i agree .

I did already mention elsewhere the additional advantage of Lollipop Bar at the entrance of that same Soi offering a variety of Gins at most reasonabale pricing accompanied by excellent service by the staff of the property .

Think about it .

More than that Sir , I´m afraid . I may confirm the year of 2001 when after a perilous nocturnal tuk-tuk ride from Silom corner Bangrak towards Clinton Plaza I just about made it . While I was officially partaking in the 125 years anniversary of the Oriental which I did rejoin later the very same evening somewhat exhausted but in no apparent hurry . One of the operational masterpieces that I am still truely proud of .

Anyway you seem to have overlooked my point which says that I do not feel the least sadness about the vendors disappearing from publicly owned walking space . Maybe it would have been an idea to restrict their activities to the inside of the footwalk .

After most careful analysis of all related aspects I may issue the following statement :

The sidewalk vendors sent away from Silom Lod eliminates one more BKK typical image like more and more colourful streets disappearing in favour of another condominium . Let us join in praising the Lord that we had the opportunity to enjoy such unrepeatable ambience . Does anybody remember Clinton Plaza . Dollhouse No. 33 , I am in tears as I am typing .

On the other hand walking along Sukhumvit before 5 PM has become a pure joy against previously being blocked by ruthless traders offering items that I never have been interested in buying .

There is not much about Soi 4 that attracts myself with the exception of Narai Massage but on the other hand I am a strong believer in the values of preserving world cultural heritage and consider Hooters as operating below local standards by offering an ambience that looks like it is well organised . As we are at it I may raise my voice in defence of Lollipop blowjob establishments corner Suk / Soi 10 . I swear , and I really do , by the Almighty Lord that I did not know about the purpose of the house even after I had already put fire to my cigar and started working on my first Gin Tonic . Point is that I had taken residence within Soi 10 somewhere and Lollipop Bar is virtually the only public house in the immediate area that is still in full swing around midnight . I may further confirm that the place should attract potential muslim extremists due to the average weight of the employees being in the region of maybe 70 kgs nett dry weight . I would avoid visits for the time being . After a visit to the hongnam it could be said the place is a dump of extreme dimension .

A BuBi health warning .

Anybody taking a cab from Suvannapumm receives a paper that tells you license plate name of driver and a telephone number. Nothing is easier than to track down a driver . No need for hotel staff to search all of greater Bangkok for the car .

I strongly recommend to invest the windfall 5400 Baht into a 2 hours so called oil massage for 2 people at Narai Massage Soi 4 , velly goos . But maybe they are already there .

as a person with some sort of Western values left you might easily develop a pancreas cancer reading about this massive load of hi-so shit in the Siamese papers virtually every day.
