  1. I read the cuts and bruises but nothing about any theft. Was anything stolen?
  2. Inside church. He sat for the full hour of the Bible Study - group. THEN - he shot everyone with his .45. Having multiple clips.
  3. Vote along party lines. Yes, the Republicans are all for cell phone robo calls. Gotta love those Republicans always looking out for the little guy. FCC ACTS TO SHIELD CONSUMERS, COMPLICATES LIFE FOR POLLSTERS - As expected, the Federal Communications Committee adopted a set of new rules on Thursday designed to better shield Americans from unwanted calls and spam text messages. The FCC also gave telephone companies a green light to offer services that would allow customers to block "robocalls" and unsolicited text messages. As of this writing, the FCC has not yet published the full text of the new rules, approved by a 3 to 2 party line vote. However, the changes described in an FCC press release and more than an hour of statements by FCC commissioners on Thursday generally confirm issues that previously led the Market Research Association to warn of "less accurate research results, higher costs, and more class action lawsuits" against survey call centers. 4. New Hampshire is an interesting state. The traditional Yankees of old are slowly disappearing. Still there. There is a migration of out of staters. Retirees from other southern New England states as well as New York and New Jersey. No income tax in New Hampshire. The bottom half of New Hampshire have quite a few transplants from northern Massachusetts. Then there is the Free State Movement. Libertarian bent. Mostly in SW New Hampshire. The NH House and Senate are both Republican controlled. But the governor is a Democrat. Registered Independents outnumber either Democrat or Republican. Bernie Sanders is from next door in Vermont. Traditionally, there has been a favoritism for presidential candidates from a neighboring state. Paul Tsongas, Dukakis, and Musky - before he broke down crying on camera. And in the NH primary - Pat Buchanan did well in the primary against Bush (1). McCain won the NH primary - Bush (2) went on to win the general.
  5. Eric Lomax. Another famous Scot. "Watch The Railroad Man which goes on general release in the new year, and you'll leave the cinema feeling you know all about the complicated, scarred individual at its centre: Eric Lomax, who was tortured by the Japanese during the second world war and eventually rescued from his torment through the love of his wife Patti." LINK An interesting take on the Thai - Burma railway.
  6. Mayor Daily (the original) has been dead for decades. Again, individual voter fraud just does not exist. One of the best studies on the subject was conducted by Justin Levitt of the New York University Law School. Its conclusion is simple: allegations of widespread voter fraud are greatly exaggerated. “Many of the claims of voter fraud amount to a great deal of smoke without much fire…Most allegations of fraud turn out to be baseless—and that of the few allegations remaining, most reveal election irregularities and other forms of election misconduct, rather than fraud by individual voters. The type of individual voter fraud supposedly targeted by recent legislative efforts—especially efforts to require certain forms of voter ID—simply does not exist.†From: FORBES Magazine John Wasik - contributor
  7. Gotta love those voter ID laws. "A News21 survey of the states found that there had been only about 10 cases of voter impersonation fraud in the U.S. in the past decade." Ten? Must be a typo. LINK
  8. I am still patiently waiting for the for the return of my alarm clock from the wonderful Chinese alarm clock factory. Thank you for your gracious concern. At what point should I send another letter to the Chinese factory?
  9. It's going to be Bush vs Clinton. The rest is just hoopla. Maybe the others are seeking the VP position. Caveat: Unless some major scandal appears. A new one. The first Bush. His crucial primary was New Hampshire. He went to then NH governor Sununu and made a promise. Deliver me the NH Republican primary and you (Sununu) can have any government job he wanted in Washington. The first Bush won New Hampshire. Sununu picked Chief of Staff. Probably the most important appointed job in any presidency. Although Sununu is a Washington insider now. He still has all of his contacts in New Hampshire. Granted, the 2d Bush did not win NH - as McCain was on a roll. But the insider Republican machine crucified McCain in South Carolina and after. It's the Bush machine and ability to obtain money that will make him the Repubican nominee.
  10. Some folks just can't comprehend what you state. Some folks don't wish to comprehend what you state.
  11. Now - I have to worry about this . . . too ! TUESDAY, May 19, 2015 (HealthDay News) -- "More than one-third of U.S. adults have a combination of health problems collectively known as metabolic syndrome that increase the risk of heart disease and diabetes, according to new research. What's worse, the researchers found the rate of metabolic syndrome increases dramatically with age. Almost half of people 60 or older in the United States have metabolic syndrome, the study found." 12. Water table down dramatically. BUT: Let's change the subject to WELFARE. I was in Arizona awhile back. The "Valley" in and around Phoenix Arizona. All of the rivers are completely dry in the southern half of Arizona. Except some of the Colorado river. There are still bridges that go across the waterless rivers. And I see hundreds and hundreds of square miles of man made aqueducts. Man made nice concrete aqueducts full of water for the farmers. Water, water, everywhere in these aqueducts. And who paid for these hundreds and hundreds or square miles of aqueducts? Thanks to Barry Goldwater and his brother. The US taxpayer paid for all of these aqueducts. Talk about WELFARE. Don't read much or view the tele - and any mentions of "corporate" welfare. That WELFARE is fine. It's that old sick grandmother living in a trailer collecting a few dollars on food stamps. She is a "cheat". Corporate welfare is just fine and dandy.
  13. And now some of those same politicians that are drooling to get the US back into Iraq with "boots on the ground" are denouncing this raid as "too dangerous". Huh? Yep. Those same fruitcakes hate anything that President Obama does. Even if it is what they want. By Gordon Lubold Wall Street Journal Updated May 16, 2015 4:19 p.m. ET WASHINGTON—A senior Islamic State leader was killed, and his wife captured, in a raid in eastern Syria by U.S. Special Operations forces, the first on-the-ground mission in that country targeting wanted extremists, defense officials said on Saturday The operation was conducted at Al-Amr, in the eastern region of Syria, to capture Abu Sayyaf and his wife, Umm Sayyaf, also thought to be part of the organization, Pentagon officials said.
  14. I experienced same here. Later in my career. I had some $sshole supervisor give me a bad review. For no reason. As I knew the rules better then he. So I met with the EEOC person. Then my reviews became excellent. Makes you wonder. Many don't have access to the EEOC and don't know much about it.
  15. Correct. The stated unemployment rate is a government statistic. That statistic is only good when comparing it to previous statistics gathered in the same way. So that number is apples to apples. Other unemployed are those that have given up looking and such. And is a higher number. And this has been true whether Democrat president or Republican president.
  16. How to spin the news your ideological way. Viewed Fox Business News on May 8. Stuart Varney of Fox News stated that this is terrible news. And of course, bad for Obama. "The U.S. economy added a solid 223,000 jobs in April, according to government data released Friday morning, a key sign that the labor market is regaining its footing after taking a slide earlier this year. The unemployment rate fell to 5.4 percent, a seven-year low. The latest numbers offer encouragement that the recent economic slowdown marks a temporary slip — one that is at least partly weather-related — rather than a sign of deeper problems. Both the jobs growth in April, as well as the tick down in the unemployment rate, was almost exactly in line market expectations." Source: Washington Post May 8, 2015
  17. There is a heck of a more story to this then just some freedom loving home schoolers. Or "unschoolers" as these children are called. Yes, adults have a right to live on the grid, off the grid, or on the streets. But when it comes to children there are other laws. By R.L. Stollar, HA Community Coordinator Have you seen the article going around entitled, “BREAKING: Police Seize 10 Children From Homeschool Family Because They’re Off-Grid The one about the “off-grid†homeschoolers, Joe and Nicole Naugler, whose children were allegedly stolen because of the family’s off-grid lifestyle? (Karen Campbell’s Relationship Homeschooling and HSLDA’s ParentalRights.org shared it today.) Please know that there is so much more to know about the Nauglers than meets the eye in this case: allegations of theft, illegal transportation, fleeing the law, threatening neighbors with death, child neglect, and more. Homeschoolers and unschoolers that actually know the family are cautioning people that this family is troubled.
  18. This is a mindset that is pervasive throughout the entire police in the USA. Some has to do with the militarization of the police forces after 9/11. With "free" money to purchase all of that gear and machines from you guessed it . . . military contractors. Again, I blame the leadership. The leadership in all of these police departments sets the tone. Sets policy. Provides training. And serious racism.
  19. Monday - April 27. Baltimore. Riots. The first store to be raided was a CVS Pharmacy. Got to get them "pills" for "free". All of this in Baltimore gives civil protest a bad name.
  20. And wait a little longer. That deficit will be blamed on public employees. Those pesky civil servants. And that pension fund - that they will attempt to raid. Further they will blame all on the public employees. Another Koch Brothers plan.
  21. This is all a trick by the US Government. Get the general public all worked up about "unions". Let them banter away about union activity. Unions. Unions. Unions. That IS what the government wants to read here and all over the country. But the facts are quite clear as stated in the posting below. Don't be fooled ! “Elite forces from all four branches of the military will take part in Jade Helm 15 across seven states between July 15 and Sept. 15 – one of the largest such exercises ever undertaken.†“Some of the theories involve Walmart, which recently closed five stores in California, Florida, Oklahoma, and Texas due to what the retailer described as plumbing problems. Employees accused Walmart of closing stores with a history of union activism – but the Internet conspiracy theorists suspect the government may use tunnels between the shuttered stores to transport troops.†www.rawstory.com/.../walmart-closings

    Hey Old Timers

OK, it is not just for old timers but . . . . Those who snore have a higher chance of Dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Have you (old timers) been tested for sleep apnea? Or have you forget the question already?
  23. Here is the election candidates I wish to see for this election. Rand Paul versus Bernie Sanders. And this would clear up everything as to where all wish this country to head. Fruitcake salad versus Fruitcake salad.
  24. Hillary racks up endorsements - The Hill: "Ninety-three lawmakers have endorsed Hillary Clinton’s 2016 run for president, locking down nearly 40 percent of all Democrats in Congress, according to a survey by The Hill. Sixty-five House lawmakers, more than one-third of the 188 Democrats in the chamber, as well as 28 senators, more than 60 percent of the upper chamber’s 46 Democrats, are in the former secretary of State’s camp." [The Hill]
  25. These large corporations don't pay any income taxes because of highly paid lobbyists and these large corporations make donations to members of Congress. So what is wrong with that? Answer the question.
