basilofbarnes
I would like to find a place with the following: 1. In the day time there will not be the incessant drilling, hammering, and smashing that most of Pattaya seems to be plagued with. 2. In the night time, no ugly, tuneless wailing from distant Karaoke bars (I wouldn't be stupid enough to stay close to one). 3. Also in the night, no jabbering and 'music' from markets or fairs. Any ideas?
khwaimaisabai
Hi b, Try The Sugar Hut. Very peaceful. I prefer somewhere a bit noisier. Khwai
smittyjp
I Think you would enjoy the woodlands resort, but you won't enjoy the joiner fee...... Smitty

Guest
I really like the dynasty resort. It is a bit off the beaten path, but it is really nice and quiet. They have nice rooms, great staff, and fantastic pool. It is up on the hill and a very pleasant break. The price is under 1000 baht. Also they will transport you from the dynasty in BKK for free if you pre-pay 2 nights.
Guest
Take a look at Green Park Resort. Close enough to walk to the nightlife, but far enough away, not to hear a peep. The setting is a world away form the Central Pattaya style. http://www.greenparkpattaya.com/ http://www.sunshinehotelsresorts.com/
thai3
Says basilofbarnes: 2. In the night time, no ugly, tuneless wailing from distant Karaoke bars (I wouldn't be stupid enough to stay close to one). Is he serious? tuneless wailing, that's the best sound in the world! Well how about that soi with the Sabai lodge and Sabai inn, is it number 4? Sabai inn is very quiet, clean and good value.Anyone stayed at the new place in south P which looks 'colonial' and has antique type things decorating it, I'll remember the name in a minute. Back to some more tuneless wailing on TV-peter
