limbo
Didn't these gals also have the song "Walking" or "Walking on the beach" or something along those lines? Great song as well.
CondomKing
You're thinking of the Shangri-Las. The lyrics to some of their songs are here: http://ntl.matrix.com.br/pfilho/html/main_index/by_artist/shangri-las.html

Flashermac
I've heard '50s music in a few of the Nana bars at times. Don't know of any that makes a regular feature of it though. I was in NEP one night with a friend who's in his mid 60s, and we suddenly heard Chuck Berry tunes coming out of a ground floor bar. (Forget which one.) He piped up, "I love Chuck Berry!" Off we went and we sat there as long as the played the old '50s and '60s Berry hits. When they switched back to newer songs, he said it was time to move on. p.s. The Titty Twister dj does let you select the music you want. You might look through what he has and ask for oldies.
june11
I just thought "my boyfriends back" would be a particularly ironic song to play in a gogo bar (given that each gogo girl may have about 5 "boyfriends" each).....just think....they're dancing to that song, then half-way through the music stops, and the girls stop dancing, then re-starts again, because another "boyfriend" walked into the door, then...again and again.... "My boyfriends back and...." stop...start....My boyfriends back and ......etc.
