lopburi3
Thai's don't stand out. That's a bad thing. Very unlike the west. A normal Thai (not a westernized Thai) will view a resume on 20lb Ivory Laid as ostentatious Somehow I have a very hard time accepting this wisdom from below the Merc and BMWs, Rolex and gold chains of Thailand and the homes of the 20,000 with over US one million. Perhaps on the beach things are a little more level but here in Bangkok ostentations is the name of the game. ::
Straycat
...not to mention business cards, which Thais seem to fondly cover in gold paint
Straycat
But I guess all that stuff is a case of "everybody else have it, I should too" or they WOULD stand out
gummigut
"Perhaps on the beach..." Just where exactly do you think I am? Your comments have nothing to do with writing business correspondence (and I'm not talking marketing material as they can be pretty flash), resumes, and cover letters. <<burp>>
lopburi3
"Perhaps on the beach..." Just where exactly do you think I am? I know where you are. That was the reason for the "grin". Sorry you have not taken this as intended. It was not an attack.
gummigut
Nah, my apologies. I'm reading to much FOZW and I'm seeing things now when I'm alone. They are out to get me. Really they are!!! <<burp>>
