GSM 900 failure in NEP?

AIS GSM 900 boasted recently they have the widest national coverage with a scuba diving advert of some kind if I recall. So how come my hand phone keeps switching to GSM1800 in NEP ground floor and much of the second floor? Do I need a new phone or do others have some problem? I need GPRS to check email from time to time but it never seems to run when GSM900 signal fails.

Cheers

I too rarely have signal in most of NEP. Sometimes I get "Select Net?" which happens when there is another signal available besides your home network. Indicating that other carriers have signal where AIS does not.

Those billboards lie, plain and simple.

Maybe this is a fault by design. We will certainly rue the day it is overcome.
