thalenoi
I have seen many wierd places, but nothing on earth compares to Pattaya Beach Road, the boulevard of broken dreams, the biggest whorehouse on the planet. 100.000?s of girls lived there by now, attracted by the Eldorado village stories. Gullible they were, to believe the marvelous stories of the poor farmer?s girls hitting gold by marrying a farang. Most of these girls stopped going to school at age 13, their parents needing the few baht their children could make to increase family revenue. They did this by planting rice with their feet and hands in the mud, or harvesting, or going to the cities, as maids cooking and cleaning houses. They went to school barefoot, ate rice with some tree leaves, eggs, rice again and the occasional chicken. They were beaten by their parents when the buffalo went sick or when they forgot to look after their latest offspring. They heard the tales of the girls who made it on Beach Road, went off to far away countries with rich farangs making at least 100.000 baht/month, their plane ticket costing at least one full year girl?s salary, living in houses with food filled fridges, where each child has his own bedroom, marvelous cars and lots more of incredible luxery. The most beautiful house in the village is build by the older farang who decided to live in paradise with the girl of his dreams, taking care of the village daughter?s family at the same time. Since he is 30 years older than the girl, when he dies no one has to worry for the future, because he will legate his millions of baht to the girl and the family will benefit. That is the proof these are no tales, but reality. Beach Road IS the road to paradise. All they have to do is ?work bar? and wait for the right guy to step in and take them away from misery. It?s a public secret that these rich farangs come to Pattaya to find the perfect caring, loving wife, since the farang woman don?t know how to take care of their men. 100.00?s of men went to Pattaya from what they heard from friends or read in some magazine: the younger, the older, the divorced and the married. The younger ones to fuck and drink as much as they can, the older ones to drink and fuck, or is it the other way round? None had a clue of what Pattaya really looks like, adult Disneyland as they could never have imagined the biggest male playfield on earth. Many discovered the secret charms of the Thai girl and felt for them, opening their wallets and promising a new life in a better world. But once back home to work and make money they soon forgot their promises, although a few agreed to sent 10.000 baht/month to keep his lady out of the bar. But all dreamed of returning to paradise some day. Some come back every year to satisfy their sexual needs, some stay forever until they run out of money, some never run out of money, some marry and many break the girls dream by forgetting she exists. The marvelous stories about Beach Road are mostly a mirage, nothing more than a dream. Some girls understand they got trapped and they become witches, cheating the farang for all they can, lifting them from all their money. Some farangs call their wife back home and tell her she can keep the house, the car and the kids, empty their bank account to give it all to the girl, who disappears the next day or throw the guy out of the house once it?s built. I met some guys crying their hearts out on their total loss, some commit suicide. That?s what Beach Road is all about, a boulevard of broken dreams? Most, even faced with the prospect of a way out, still manage to screw it up, not out of meanness, but out of cluelessness and force of habit (if tomorrow is like today, good enough). Just making do, that's all......
