Directions as previous, walk along soi 77 until you reach On Nut 7 - Soi Wat Mahabut 7 (signed) I once made a similar trip through some canals in Thonburi. Join a bicycle hash. There is a branch of the hash house harriers that does bicycle trips here, and if I can find their website, I will post it here. I try to do a few trips a year, and its a blast. If you are more serious biker, go to ProBike (near Lumpini Park), and rent a good mountain bike. There are several outfits up in Chiang Mai that operate some good bicycle tours, and I believe they post a few flyers at ProBike. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We enjoy a ride of 40-50km and then socialise over a few beers afterwards, in the same manner as the running Hash House Harrier packs. Some of our rides involve a weekend trip, staying at an inexpensive resort on the Saturday night. We usually meet on the last weekend of each month somewhere within two hours driving time from Bangkok. Bring your own bike unless the misdirections indicate that there are bikes for rent. Or you can rent your bike from Probike in Bangkok for about 300 baht per day. There will always be someone to help you with your flat tyres, but bring your own spare tube! At the start of every ride only the hares who laid the trail know where it goes. Just follow the shredded paper (if you can find any) and enjoy warm and friendly Thailand. When you get to your first ride, you have the option of paying approximately 200 baht for the ride and the beer, or add in a few hundred more and become a lifetime member.
