SUZIBANDIT
I was watching The Daily Show with Jon Stewart's global edition on CNN over the weekend. They had a short story on APEC. They showed all of the leaders posing for pics in the silk shirts they were presented with. Stewart made a crack about how amazing it was that 21 word leaders all showed up at the same event wearing exactly the same thing. He said that after that, the world leaders agreed that next time they would call each other the night before to make sure they all knew what the others were wearing. I am butchering the joke, but trust me it was hilarious the first time around.
Flashermac
Allegedly, those silk shirts cost NINETY THOUSAND BAHT APIECE! Add that to the gold boxes studded with diamonds, and you'll know where some of the expense money went. But of course, the PM paid it out of his own pocket ... not!
